My son is in the four's program with Ms. Debbie! We used to go to World Cup in Chappaqua for the 2’s and 3’s. From the minute you step one foot in the door you feel like you are home at Little Hands, Little Feet. You feel welcomed and loved within seconds. The gym is huge with lots of different types of bikes to assist with gross motor development. The outdoor playground gives them ample room to run and slide!

 

The academics are stellar! One of kind! I am a special education teacher and also was an assistant principal; I have very high expectations of a preschool program.  I visited over 20 schools in the area and not one had everything I wanted except Little Hands, Little Feet Preschool. I wanted a loving, nurturing, with academics and indoor and outdoor space.  Little Hands, Little Feet Preschool has met my expectations and then some!  I’ve never seen my son so excited for school everyday and he even wants to go on the weekends!! The school is very family oriented and always welcomed to visit the classroom and participate in lessons. You will never feel rushed out the door ever!

 My son who was a non-reader (4 years old) and a non-writer, he did not even know how to write his name, he has learned to not only write his name (from tracing dots, highlighted marker, playing in rice and beans) to just writing words on his own during free play. He not only can write words but he can read over 30 sight words from the Dolch word lists. He can read books without using picture prompts. This progress is just from September till today 11/17/17! Ms. Debbie's multi-sensory approach to reading and writing has made my son a reader and writer. Besides, the reading and writing, he is able to add numbers together with and without pictures. He is able to graph information using a bar graph.

 

The amount of care, love and amazing lessons my son has been exposed to is amazing. Besides just learning in the classroom, Little Hands, Little Feet takes the children to the community. There are many class trips around the local area (Trailside Museum, Apple Cider Making, Fire Department visiting, Apple Picking, Phelps Hospital, Animal Naturalist visiting, Police Department visits, hatching and raising chicks, and Muscoot Farm). It has just been clearly an amazing experience and the year isn’t over.  He can explain the story of the Pilgrims and Indians, sing amazing and creative songs, explain about the parts of an apple and pumpkin, etc.

I know I can’t go back in time, but I wish he had started here in the 2's.  There is no program like Little Hands, Little Feet Preschool.Ms. Debbie's approach to learning is truly unique from singing, to playing games, riding various types of bikes inside the gym, to academics to just having fun at school is priceless. Little Hands, Little Feet Preschool is part of our family.
